The “Penguins PM “tour starts at 1.00 PM in Winter & 2.00 PM in summer.
After, enjoying the city we head along Port Philip Bay coastline on the way to Phillip Island we will pass through, sleepy fishing villages and farm land south of the city. See the true Australia in small-town life along the way. As we arrive on Phillip Island will visit the Island Chocolate Factory and then onto the Koala Conservation Centre, this is one of the few areas in Australia where you can see koala in their natural inhabit. Walk through the treetops in reserve bushland and see wild koalas close up. We may also spot some other Native animals to Australia as well.
Observe Mornington Peninsula and Bass Strait as the tour heads along to the Nobbies and Seal Rocks were home is to Australia’s largest Australian Fur Seal colony. Finally we are off to Penguin Parade on Philip Island, home of the famous “little penguins” who emerge from the sea each day at dusk to return to their nests in the sand. Hundreds of these miniature blue-and-white penguins waddle across the sand, creating a rare wildlife show for visitors to observe.
The Penguin Parade is Australia’s number one wildlife tourist attraction and is highlight of any visit to the area. A MUST SEE
We conclude our day tour to Phillip Island with dinner on the Island before returning to Melbourne.
