- There are no facilities at Little Sahara so please ensure you have everything you need to keep you energised and safe at the dunes - water, hat and sunscreen are essential!

Tour Description
Little Sahara is an area of spectacular inland dunes rising up from the surrounding native bush on the South Coast of Kangaroo Island. The dune system, formed by eroding sandstone behind Vivonne Bay, covers an approximate two kilometre squared area, and is surrounded by dense coastal Mallee scrub. The highest sand dune at Little Sahara is seventy metres above sea level!!
Sandboarding is the best way to experience the massive dunes of Little Sahara. Grab a board from the team at the Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action office, who will give you a wax demonstration to make you slide better down the dunes and will also give you a few tips to keep you safe at the dunes. They will also explain how to get to Little Sahara and then you’re ready to go!!
