A trip to the outer Great Barrier Reef is a once in a lifetime experience for many, so take the opportunity to make it special. Join the luxurious 19 metre sailing catamarn Aquarius on day to to see the wonders of the reef. Swim snorkel and relax amongst the coral and abundant marine life.

Featuring large deck spaces, a stylish saloon and spectacularly large sails, Aquarius provides a unique reef experience from Port Douglas. Your vessel is bound for Horseshoe Bay, a stunning site on Tongue Reef, approximately two hours from Port Douglas.

Once at the destination, view the remarkable underwater world by snorkelling from the back of the vessel. Explore coral gardens and an abundance of marine life while floating effortlessly on the water's surface. For non-swimmers, a coral viewing boat will provide guests with the opportunity to see the coral reef while keeping dry.

The experienced crew will guide guests in the water and out, provide interesting facts about the Great Barrier Reef and serve an array of delicious food throughout the day.

With only small groups (max 30), Aquarius is a dedicated snorkel only vessel, offering a personalised experience to Tongue Reef on the outer Great Barrier Reef.

Relax on the spacious upper deck between snorkelling opportunities and enjoy the delicious buffet lunch, as well as the freshly made cakes provided for morning and afternoon tea.

Aquarius Port Douglas crew provide supervision and tuition as well as a comprehensive safety brief at the start of each day. Flotation devices are provided for snorkelling from the platform of Aquarius. A coral viewing boat is available for non-swimmers.

An approximate outline of your day is as follows;
7:45 - 8:20am - Guests are collected from their Port Douglas accommodation
8:15am - Guests who are making their own way are to check in at the Calypso Shop at Crystalbrook Marina.
Once guests board Aquarius, they are asked to remove their shoes (either in an allocated shoe container or in their own bags).
8:45am - Vessels depart the Marina. Guests are welcomed on board, morning tea served and an outline of the day announced and
safety briefing conducted by the crew
11:00am - Arrive at Horseshoe Bay. Guests are fitted with a mask, snorkel and fins. These are kept with the guests for the day. A snorkel
briefing will take place before guests begin exploring the coral reef.
12:00pm - Lunch is served
1:00pm - Another snorkelling opportunity and use of the coral viewing boat.
1:45pm - Aquarius commences her sail back to Port Douglas and afternoon tea is served
4:00pm - Arrive back at Crystalbrook Marina
4:10pm - Transfers commence back to Port Douglas accommodation
