Participants must be reasonably active and over 14 years of age
Participants must be able to swim 50m
Very tall (over 192 cm) and heavy people (over 110 kg) need to notify operator in order to provide a suitable kayak
The trip is weather dependant, particularly the strength of the wind and the effect on wave and swell size. Trips will be cancelled if the forecast is for 20 knots or above. Staff will contact participants 2 days before hand to confirm go ahead. Cancelled trips will be rescheduled.
Customers need to sign an indemnity form and medical form before they commence the trip.
All staff have a sea kayaking guide or instructors qualification, level 2 first aid or wilderness first aid and at least 5 years experience.
The tours run on demand from mid September to mid May.
Clients will normally be in double kayaks unless they can prove prior experience when requesting a single kayak

Come see St kilda from the water!
Great views, great fun, adventurous but safe activity.
No experience is necessary and only average fitness is required.
This kayak tour is a half day sampler of what sea kayaking is all about. Both morning and afternoon trips are available. St Kilda is a lively coastal Melbourne town that is great to see from your kayak. Observe the cityscape, paddle close to yachts and ferries while taking in views of St Kilda and Williamstown
There are plenty of opportunities at the end of the kayak tour to visit one of many inner city restaurants along the coast for lunch or dinner; so why not make a day of it!
Your experience begins with a short discussion on the format for the half day experience, including the distance expected to paddle and weather conditions. You are then kitted up with a PFD, spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle before the all important Kayak safety briefing including a dry capsize drill. Most sea kayaks are double sea kayaks with a couple of single kayaks available for the more experienced paddlers in the group.
