The Huon valley is part of the southernmost region in Australia, and regarded by many, as one of the most picturesque places in Tasmania.
The Huon and Southern region is renowned for its fine produce such as apples, mushrooms, seafood, fruit, cheese and fine wines.
Join our full day tour to explore this lush region, enjoy a vineyard luncheon platter, and savour some of the local wines and produce along the way
Departing from the central location of the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre we commence4 our journery to the Huon Region.
First stop, Home Hill Nestled in the hills at Ranelagh, Home Hill blends beautifully into the surrounding country side. Enjoy some of their award winning wines, notably their Pinot Noir.
Panorama Vineyard This family owned boutique vineyard is located on the eastern bank of the Huon River, in a sheltered region that was once the centre of high quality orchards and the apple export industry.
Hartzview With the Hartz mountain range as a backdrop you will enjoy a delightful vineyard platter of local product which will be offered as a light lunch. Tastings of table wines, Ports and fortified wines follow before taking time out to explore the historic pickers’ huts.
Cygneture Hand crafted chocolate and confectionary shop that uses produce from the Huon Valley and surrounding areas.
Grandvewe Cheese Tasmania’s only sheep milk cheesery produced by organic farming methods offers a range of delicious cheeses and wines for sampling.
Brookfield Enjoy a sumptuous Devonshire tea at the unique Brookfield cafe and take time out to visit the quirky gift shop.
