Beautiful Cradle Mountain in winter
Don’t rush Tasmania - do it to the max on Jump’s Tassie MAX tour!
Day 1 - It’s Jump Time! First up is the pristine wilderness of Mount Field National Park. See beautiful Russell Falls and some of the tallest trees on earth! Look out for the Tasmanian Pademelons hopping around, they’re unique to Tas!
We stop for lunch at Australia’s deepest lake, peaceful Lake St Clair. If you’re lucky you might see a platypus :-) From here we drive through the stunning Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The incredible views stretch in all directions. See the quartzite peak of Frenchmans Cap, and the iconic Franklin River winding its way through the valley below.
Overnight - Jump Holiday House @ Tullah
Day 2 - An action packed day today on Tassie’s wild West Coast. First up we make our way through lush rainforest to Montezuma Falls - Tasmania’s highest waterfall.
The beautiful fishing town of Strahan is our lunch stop today - immerse yourself in the beauty and history of what was once one of the most remote outposts of the British Empire.
Close by are the massive Henty Dunes - climb to the top for a wonderful view across the Southern Ocean and do some JUMPING!
Overnight - Jump Holiday House @ Tullah
Day 3 - Cradle Mountain day! This stunning Tasmanian icon is a place to take in slowly - we stay 4 hours with a range of hikes and other activities to let you enjoy Cradle to the max!
After Cradle it’s time for lunch in the “Town of Murals”. Look out for the alpaca man!
In the afternoon it’s time to enjoy Tassie’s fine foods with a stop at the Honey Farm. We stay gourmet with an opportunity to try delicious hot smoked salmon later.
In the evening we reach Tasmania’s northern capital, the garden city of Launceston.
Overnight - Launceston
Day 4 - Today we head east to admire the amazing memorial carvings at Legerwood and taste the cheesy delights of the Pyengana Dairy Company.
In the afternoon it’s time for the highlight of the day - the stunning Bay of Fires. With some of the whitest sand and clearest water you’ll ever see, take your time to explore the beach or maybe take a swim.
In the evening we arrive at our accommodation in the seaside town of Bicheno. As darkness falls head to the beach to see the fairy penguins come ashore to nest.
Overnight - Bicheno
Day 5 - Today we’ll see another Tassie icon - the gorgeous sparkling waters of Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park. Fantastic views are on offer from the lookout and from the beach itself, or if you’re really keen, hike up Mount Amos!
Our optional activity this morning is to see the wildlife at East Coast Natureworld - soon after we arrive it’s feeding time for the Tasmanian devils, wombats, kangaroos, koalas and many more animals that call the park home. (Extra cost)
In the afternoon we head inland to the historic town of Ross (whose bakery is particularly well known to our Japanese guests!). Later on we head south down the highway to Hobart.
Overnight - Hobart
Day 6 - Today we head east, stopping first at the beautiful historic village of Richmond. The highlight of the day is the opportunity to check out Tasmania’s convict heritage at Port Arthur.
There’s no rush with plenty of time to see the sights on the included guided walking tour and harbour cruise. Hear about the harsh conditions that the earliest European residents of Tasmania experienced after being sent across the world.
Later on you’ll have the opportunity to taste fine Tasmanian chocolate, enjoy the stunning Waterfall Bay walk, check out the zany Doo-Town and admire the Devil’s Kitchen & Tasman Arch.
Overnight - Hobart
