Join our cruise (around 6.5 hours) as we take you Whale watching in the sheltered waters of Hervey Bay & Fraser Island. This is where you see the wonderful humpback whales at play. Our wonderful skipper will teach you all about the whales,while you listen to their whale-song on the onboard hydrophone. We have 3 viewing decks so you won'r fee overcrowded.

Cruise the sheltered waters of Hervey Bay and Fraser Island to encounter the magnificent Humpback whales at rest and play. The area known as Platypus Bay is renowned as the place where whales come to watch people as much as us watching them. Listen to the magical whalesong via our hydrophone and share your experience live with our free Wi-Fi.
Freedom III has a maximum of 49 passengers and is 17 metres long so there is no crowding on any of the 3 viewing decks. The water level platform is great for viewing at close quarters.
Delicious food provided with home baked morning tea, tropical buffet lunch and cheese & fruit platters for afternoon tea as well as tea, coffee and filtered water all day.
Expert commentary by our thoroughly experienced skipper on whale behaviors and the unique surrounding environment is educational and amusing. Dolphins, dugong, turtles and sea-birds are regularly sighted as well as the odd dingo roaming Fraser Island beaches.

Departure is from the Great Sandy Straits Marina near Mantra and Breakfree Resorts.
Boarding is from 9am for 9:30 departure. Free parking is available in the marina precinct
Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, memory cards, battery charger, jacket.
Children are 4-14 years of age, under 4 are free of charge and must be booked as infants. No prams on-board.
We have three beds for resting, and some toys to keep young children entertained.
Tours are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers.
Whale season is from late July to the end of October, depending on when the whales choose to stick around.
