You'll get to spot wildlife in their habitat, walk the beaches, smell the rainforests, climb The Neck Lookout & Wildlife Zone and tour the iconic Cape Bruny lighthouse, perched 115m above the craggy Dolerite Tasmanian coastlines. Photo opps at every turn! And settle in for a BIG local food lunch overlooking Sunset Beach, Satellite Island and the D'entrecasteaux Channel.
Your day will start off leisurely, with a hotel pick up. You'll enjoy a scenic country and coastal drive to Kettering, here you will board the ferry and enjoy beautiful scenery as you head towards Bruny Island. You'll begin the day climbing the Neck and Adventure Bay lookout and visiting the berry farm in Adventure Bay. Before heading to the South Bruny National Park we will take a short break on the beach and sample some of the islands award winning cheeses picnic style.Then it's a scenic drive through rainforest and over Mount Mangana to Cape Bruny.
Relax with a big lunch of local produce. Choose from an extensive menu of locally caught fresh fish, succulent local lamb, salmon, seafood chowder or the popular & HUGE seafood platter for two (Gluten free and vegetarian options available). A collaboration of fine food with Hotel Bruny & The Island Producers, celebrating the islands and Tasmania's foods. If that's not enough why don't you enjoy the Bruny Island Cider tasting.... You'll have to leave room for the freshly shucked oysters up next though, farmed just a few hundred metres from where you sit, overlooking the blue/green waters of Great Bay.
Visit South Bruny Island National Park where you will be astounded by the spectacular and rugged coastal views, expanses of coastal vegetation and the wildlife including whales, white wallabies, eagles, echidnas and more that call this area their home. Go on a tour of the Iconic Bruny Island Lighthouse, perched 115m atop the Dolerite Sea Cliffs and learn about the history of this lovely building, taking in sea views from its balcony. Your afternoon will be full of more local delights with Chocolate and Fudge tasting with yummy samples of course and plenty of time to shop....

Tours depart Hobart CBD between 6.50am and 7.30am. Please be at your pickup location 5 mins before and on some days our drivers may get held up due to traffic conditions. Its advised that you stand outside of your accomodation and not wait inside unless its raining. Hotel and Hostel pick ups within Hobart CBD and other locations advised upon time of booking. Please call on the day before to reconfirm.... If we don't hear from you please meet at the Tasmanian Travel & Information Centre at 7am. This is your default pick up location.
