As our river experiences are offered in the outdoors we are subject to environmental changes, if these changes result in excess or insufficient water for our craft to safely negotiate the river the raft type or the location of the trip may be altered or your trip may be rescheduled. Deposits will not be refunded in this situation, as you will be offered the choice of a trip on another river or on the same river on another date.
- Included in price:
- Safety talk, lessons on how to paddle, Experienced guides, all equipment which includes- wetsuit, jumpers, splash top, gloves, boots, beanies and helmets, Snacks and lunch on the river. Overnight accommodation , dinner and transfers.
- Able to be purchased/hired:
- Photographic DVD with up to 300 photos of your river journey. $40
- What to bring:
- Start by packing your spirit of adventure! Warm clothes for the end of the day, including a warm jacket, sturdy shoes, 2 Towels and Sun screen. Hat or beanie. Medication and glasses strap if required. Remember to pack light if you don’t need it don’t bring it! Water for drinking, eat a hearty breakfast, not over indulge in alcohol the night before.

Australia’s classic river journey
The Mitta Mitta boasts one of the highest ‘put-ins’ in Australia at 680m in elevation. This river packs a serious punch. The continuous grade 2-3 rapids make for a wild descent off the Great Divide. Plummeting between intricate rock formations for 18km will certainly ensure your adrenalin hits overdrive. You’ll tackle grade 2 and 3 rapids such as Graveyard, the ‘S’ bend, Bump and Grind, Big Stopper, Dislocation, The waterfall, Gobbler and Three plus. These technical rapids require many manoeuvres and are guaranteed to test the skills of the most experienced rafters.
History and Culture
During this trip, Australian history comes to the fore, as you will have the rare opportunity to explore 19th century miners’ diggings. Afterwards, you can relax and enjoy the grandeur of the steep bare rock gorges which characterise this wilderness area.
