We now drive to World Heritage listed Kakadu National park, which is Australia’s largest national park and home to some of the world’s finest rock art, around one third of Australia’s bird species and a variety of animals that live in the diverse range of habitats, including floodplains and savannah woodlands.
Our first stop in Kakadu is Ubirr, in the very north of the park. As well as the fantastic galleries of aboriginal rock art, which your guide will interpret, it also offers a spectacular view over the Nadab floodplain and the Arnhemland escarpment, from the lookout at the end of the walk.
