Join our 5 Day Smash & Grab package starting in Hobart on Wednesdays & Fridays.

Spend more time at the National Parks and experience some of the best highlights Tasmania has to offer. The 5 Day Smash & Grab Package includes 4 x Day Tours, 1 x Transfer + 4 nights Accommodation.

The package price includes large dorm room accommodation at Central City Backpackers, Hobart (www.centralcityhobart.com) and Arthouse Hostel in Launceston (www.arthousehostel.com.au) Alternate prices are available for single, double or twin room accommodation at the same backpackers.

This package includes all entrance fees and national parks passes. No meals are included. You can bring your lunch along with you or you will have an opportunity to purchase your lunch on tour each day.

Sample Itinerary:

Wednesday Day 1
Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington and Wildlife
Pick up from the front of Central City Backpackers at 7.55am.
Mt Wellington, Russell Falls, the world's tallest hardwood trees, lush rainforests and the legendary Tassie Devil are just a few of the highlights you will experience during this fantastic day. We explore some of the states best short walks in the Mt. Field National Park. Walk to Russell Falls; experience the beauty of Alpine Tasmania on the Lake Dobson Walk and the not to be missed Tall Trees Walk. Something Wild Wildlife Sanctuary provide us with a private tour and an opportunity to get up close and personal with a Tassie Devil. We drive to Mt. Wellington for some amazing views across Hobart & Southern Tasmania. Today is about mountains, ancient forests and unique wildlife for a very Tasmanian experience. Overnight included: Central City Backpackers.

Thursday Day 2
Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park
Pick up from the front of Central City Backpackers at 7.25am.
See the magnificent Wineglass Bay, spot a wallaby along the way, swim in this picture perfect setting or just laze on a beach. We walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout, a 1.5hour return walk. From the lookout you will have the choice to continue onto Wineglass Bay Beach (approx. 3 hr total return) or continue with our guide to explore – Cape Tourville, Sleepy Bay & Honeymoon Bay. We enjoy a stop at Kate’s Berry Farm on the return trip to Hobart. Arriving back around 7pm. Overnight included: Central City Backpackers.

Friday Day 3
Port Arthur MEGA Day
Pick up from the front of Central City Backpackers at 7.55am.
This tour is jampacked with Tasmanian history and natural attractions. Spend quality time at the famous Port Arthur Historic Site (3 ½ Hours), stroll the streets of Australia’s prettiest colonial village at Richmond, marvel at the fantastic ocean views and natural attractions of the Tasman Peninsula with its huge sea cliffs, stunning lookouts and famous natural attractions including Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen and Remarkable Cave. Returns to Hobart by 7pm. Overnight included: Central City Backpackers.

Saturday Day 4
Transfer from Hobart to Launceston
This morning you have time to visit the famous Salamanca Markets before leaving for Launceston. Pick up from the front of Central City Backpackers at 3.00pm.
Around 1 hr 45 minutes north of Hobart we take the time to stop at the picturesque Ross Historic Village. We enjoy a short break, stretch of the legs or coffee as you have time to wander through this beautiful village. We arrive in Launceston around 6.00pm. Overnight included: Arthouse Hostel.

Sunday Day 5
Cradle Mountain Day Tour
Pick up from Arthouse Backpacker Hostel at 7.55am.
Don’t forget your camera and walking shoes today! First we head to Sheffield Town of Murals en-route to Cradle Mountain . This is a handy stop to buy your lunch supplies and a take-away coffee. Then it’s onward to Cradle. Cradle is an awe inspiring mountain towering over one of the great wilderness areas of the world. Walk, explore or simply soak up the wonder of this ancient land. This is a not to be missed highlight of Tasmania and we make this day yours with our flexibility and optional walks for beginner or experienced walkers. Returns Launceston by 7pm.
