Cairns Adventure Group

Cairns Adventure Group is a Cairns-based operator that says on its own site it has run water-based tours in Far North Queensland since 1986. It now trades under nine separate brand names — including Foaming Fury, Raging Thunder, RnR Rafting, Aussie Drifterz and Cairns River Cruises — covering white-water rafting, tubing, jet boating and river cruising, all run from the one company base in Cairns North.

Its rafting and tubing trips run on rivers within the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage Area: the operator's own site describes half-day rafting trips it runs on the lower Barron River through Barron Gorge National Park, and white-water rafting on the Tully River through Tully Gorge National Park, where a hydroelectric station upstream keeps conditions rideable year-round through timed releases rather than relying on rainfall. Other tours in the group run as river cruises on Trinity Inlet and as jet boat trips, rather than in the gorges themselves.
