After your morning at Tjapukai, drive north for 15 minutes to find Cairns Tropical Zoo. It's the best place to enjoy great wildlife presentations including Queensland’s ONLY Red Pandas, the fabulous Free Flight Bird Show, Snake Show, Crocodile Show, Koala and Wombat presentation and more. Take the opportunity to ‘Cuddle a Koala’ (extra cost applies). See one of Australia’s best reptile displays, hand feed tame kangaroos, meet cassowaries, cotton top tamarins, dingoes, alligators and more.

- The popular Gallery is open 9:00am - 5:00pm to purchase authentic indigenous souvenirs, artworks. Beverages can be purchased from the bar, and are not included with the lunch buffet.

- Comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and don't forget your camera!! An umbrella on those Rainy days at the Zoo.

Tjapukai now has the "Bibunbay" Kids program running every day and included in the admission price for children at Tjapukai by Day. Morning activities include "Kids do Didge" class, Message Stone Painting and a small prize for the spear thrown the furthest!
