The ways they have adapted to this environment are uniquely fascinating, as is their prolific influence upon the Marine Ecosystems of both the river and out to sea. Above the tidal zone exists low lying Rainforest with freshwater creeks meandering down from the mountainous backdrop. Immerse yourself in plant life dating back 35-135 million years, view tropical fish, birds, brightly coloured Fiddler Crabs and more…. This is an otherwise inaccessible environment of silted mud and incredible above ground root structures, yet you get an easy 400 metre flat stroll without getting dirty.
