“What are you doing for dinner tonight?” Journey into dreamtime legend and discover the magic of Australia’s ancient indigenous culture. Nightfire is Tjapukai’s evening experience meeting the Bama, the Indigenous rainforest people, who paint your face to link you to their traditional land and take you on a mesmerising journey with the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo.

Follow the Tjapukai warriors to a corroboree celebrating Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and join the Rainbow Serpent circle to learn traditional language songs before the ceremonial fire is lit with a spectacular fire ball shooting towards the stars.
Dinner will see you enjoy Australian meats, seafood and an array of salads and desserts featuring tantalising Indigenous flavours at the Flame Tree Bar & Grill. Relax around the fire with the Tjapukai warriors where there is time for an intimate chat, an end to a night of cultural entertainment.
The Nightfire performance includes the evening cultural show, a sumptuous buffet dinner welcome canapes.
Take your time in the Tjapukai Retail Gallery before or after the " Tjapukai by Night" performance to purchase an authentic indigenous souvenir, piece of artwork, didgeridoo, boomerang, CD or book - come and see the range of gifts for all budgets for yourself! Beverages during the ' Tjapukai by Night ' performance are not included in admission price.
The performance starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 9.30pm.

From most major hotels in the Cairns and Cairns Beaches area. Transfers start at approximately 6.15 pm and return to your accommodation by approx 10:00 pm.
Please ensure your accommodation details are advised at time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to travel, so a pick up time can be provided.
Comfortable shoes, a light jacket / jumper for winter months, your camera.
Children 3 years of age or under are complimentary. Children aged 4-14 are admitted at children prices. 15 years and above are admitted at adult prices.
Tjapukai cashes travellers cheques, accepts major credit cards, and has EFTPOS facilities. EFTPOS facilities are also located in the Retail Gallery and The Boomerang Restaurant.
