Enjoy the first half of your day on a wilderness cruise on Trinity Inlet and a tour of the Cairns Crocodile Farm and then in the afternoon enjoy lunch at one of Cairns best waterfront restaurant plus free time in the CBD.
WILDERNESS CRUISE & CROCODILE FARM TOUR
Alongside Cairns is a magnificent tidal estuary that is rarely seen. Only accessible by boat, Crocodile Explorer is the only luxury, air-conditioned cruise taking small numbers of visitors along Trinity Inlet on this scenic nature cruise. With waterways winding through a maze of mangroves, expect rich diverse wildlife, stunning scenery and a relaxing cruise with informative commentary from your crew. This is the saltwater crocodile’s natural habitat – spot them basking on the muddy banks.
Get up close and personal to the crocodiles by gaining exclusive access to the Cairns Crocodile Farm. During your insider’s tour, see crocodiles in their natural environment and learn from a very knowledgeable tour guide about breeding habits, how the eggs are collected and how the crocodiles are farmed for their skin. Passengers are then treated to an informative and remarkable one-hour tour of the Cairns Crocodile Farm followed by a 30-minute coach tour back to Cairns via the southern corridor. The coach tour takes in the wide open sugar cane fields and surrounding mountain ranges. Throughout the tour passengers receive informative commentary from our trained interpretive staff.(This tour may operate in reverse)
LUNCH + FREE TIME IN CBD
After the cruise, take a leisurely 1 minute walk along the board walk to Dundees restaurant. Lunch is a 2 course set menu. After lunch you will have over 2 1/2 hours free time in the CBD to go shopping, explore the Esplanade or relax by the lagoon. Return to the Reef Fleet Terminal at 4.50pm for your transfers back to your accommodation.
