Experience Cairns at it's best. Spend a fun-filled half day fishing in the mangrove lined creeks of the Cairns Estuary. With over 90km of waterways to explore and over 40 different species of fish to target, our knowledgeable guide will take you to the right 'secret' spots depending on the season, the tides and the prevailing weather conditions. Enjoy this very 'hands on' experience which includes cast netting for live bait fish such as sardines and prawns, to chasing the numerous species of hard fighting tropical fish including Queenfish, King Salmon, Mangrove Jack, Grunter, Trevally, Fingermark and the world renowned Barramundi. Have a complimentary "cuppa" (tea, coffee and cold drinks) on board and share fishing stories from all over Australia and the world. As well as great fishing, you may experience seeing crocodiles up close and can observe the abundant bird life which are ever present in these waterways. Relax in the comfort of the fully shaded 5.8m 'River Runner II'. This purpose-built 'punt' style boat, powered by a 90HP Honda engine, sits low in the water, maximising the view of the 'strike' and making rod handling easy. All tackle is supplied using a 6kg outfit. Surveyed for 8, 'River Runner II' usually caters for an average of 3-5 people on board (the maximum being 7). With bucket and bench seats and plenty of room to spread out, you can relax in the very capable hands of a guide who has fished these waters on bait, lure and fly for years. Come along and be treated to a tropical fishing adventure you will remember!
All Tackle Sportfishing, fishing the waters of the tropical north since 1989.
