Tour Description
MY TOWN TOURS provides a short and informative guided half day tour of Cairns to help you 'get your bearings'. Your orientation City Sights bus tour begins when you board the air conditioned bus at your hotel. You will see places of history, where the main tours depart from and an idea of where the major shops, restaurants and markets are placed. After a brief history of the region, you will tour past major places of interest including city, industrial and some residential areas on your way to Campbell's Lookout for a panoramic view over the city. Then you will travel through prehistoric rainforest to the spectacular Barron Gorge, the site of the hydro-electric power station.Finally the spectacular Botanic Gardens where you can take a short stroll and see some of Australia's native rainforest plants. Your tour ends when you are returned to your hotel in Cairns.
