The Tjapukai Retail Gallery is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Take your time in the Tjapukai Gallery to purchase an authentic indigenous souvenir, piece of artwork, didgeridoo, boomerang, CD or book - come and see the range of gifts for all budgets for yourself! Our Boomerang Restaurant is open for a Buffet Lunch every day.

- Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is open daily 9.00am to 5.00pm except Christmas day. To be able to see all shows, arrival must be by 1pm - 1:30pm, allowing at least 45 minutes for lunch with the first show beginning at 2:15pm (for the afternoon session).

Tour Description
Come and experience an authentic Aboriginal culture with the Tjapukai people in Cairns.Wander through the Magic Space to view authentic stone age artifacts once used by the Tjapukai tribe. Murals created by Tjapukai artists tell the legends of the past.
Enjoy the sounds of the haunting didgeridoo in the Nature's Voice Theatre. The Didgeridoo - A Journey show explores the traditional didgeridoo and incorporates contemporary music with beautiful images of the distinctive region.
The Creation theatre tells the stories of the dreamtime and traditional beliefs of the Tjapukai people.
Move through to the Tjapukai Dance Theatre to experience a dance performance of Tjapukai traditional corroborees.
The *Cultural Village will provide an opportunity to interact with members of the Tjapukai community. Try your hand at boomerang and spear throwing. Listen, learn and ask questions on what traditional hunting techniques and weapons were used 40, 000 years ago. For those that are keen to broaden their knowledge on bush foods and medicines, Tjapukai provides short demonstrations for you.
*In wet weather, these demonstrations will he held under cover indoors
