This spectacular 10-hour day tour departs daily from Kings Cross Holiday Inn (203 Victoria Street) at 7:15 am, YHA Central (11 Rawson Place) at 7:30 am, Nomads Westend (412 Pitt St) at 7:35 am, Base Hostel Sydney (477 Kent St) at 7:40 am, Wynyard Station Menzies Hotel (14 Carrington St) at 7:50 am and Circular Quay (outside McDonalds corner Alfred Street and Loftus Street) at 7:55 am. Cruising in luxurious air-conditioned comfort, you will visit charming mountain villages and trek many spectacular scenes while listening to an informative commentary from your friendly and professional guide.
Featherdale Wildlife Park is the perfect place for you to get acquainted with some of Australia’s cutest, weirdest and astonishing characters. Cuddle and snuggle a gorgeous koala, feed a bouncing kangaroo, watch the adorable Little Penguin as they waddle and swim the day away and see Ngukurr – the Saltwater Crocodile – have his breakfast. While-away your time watching our wonderful wombats nibble their tasty treats or listen to our Tasmanian devil screech and scrabble with their mates, plus there’s many, many more inquisitive an unique critters to enjoy and delight in.
Your next stop will be to visit the spectacular Blue Mountains. This inspirational World Heritage National Park combines rich, lush rainforest, thunderous waterfalls, gargantuan rocky outcrops and canyons, tall eucalypt forests and heathlands to absolute perfection.
At Wentworth Falls – with your eco accredited guide in tow – you will be privy to the most awe-inspiring sight and sound spectacular this region has to offer. Gigantic, roaring waterfalls crash into crystal clear pools of sparkling and invitingly cool azure water. After your bushwalk, you’ll enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating lunch. Do your bit for the environment and please bring your own water bottle.
Nicely rested and back on the coach you’ll set off to The Three Sisters. This magnificent rock formation stands 922 metres at its highest point and these towers of rich red, beautiful browns and citrus orange overlook and ‘guard’ the picturesque Jamison Valley. Absorb the positive atmosphere at the Waradah Aboriginal Centre and hear the Indigenous Dreamtime stories about how these beautiful sisters got here, from the local Indigenous peoples perspective.
Off to Scenic World to the Scenic Railway (ride at own expense) – which takes you plunging down the depths of the mountainside – and the Skyway and Cableway to sail you high above the canopy. From here, you’ll get a real bird’s eye view of exquisitely lush tall forest, beautiful rocky mountains and outcrops as far as the eye can see. Plenty of superb photo opportunities.
We arrive back in Sydney, where you’ll be dropped back at your accommodation, at around 6:00 pm.
